Welcome to ToursofSriLanka.com (“Sri Lanka Tour Specialists”). By using our website, requesting quotations, confirming bookings, or travelling with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
ToursofSriLanka.com is operated by Visit SL Travels (Pvt) Ltd, a Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) registered inbound travel company specializing in private tailor-made Sri Lanka tours.
Booking & Confirmation
- All tour bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
- A booking is considered confirmed only after receiving written confirmation from us together with the agreed advance payment.
- Hotel reservations, transport arrangements, train tickets, and other travel services will be arranged after confirmation.
- Prices may vary depending on seasonal hotel rates, availability, fuel adjustments, and supplier changes.
Payments
- An advance payment may be required to confirm hotels and travel arrangements.
- The remaining balance can generally be paid before arrival or upon arrival in Sri Lanka as agreed during the booking process.
- Payments can be made via bank transfer or other approved payment methods.
- Any bank transfer charges must be borne by the client.
Changes & Amendments
- Any changes to confirmed itineraries, hotels, transportation, or travel dates must be requested in writing.
- Changes are subject to availability and may involve additional charges.
- Certain hotel bookings, train tickets, and special activities may become non-refundable after confirmation.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation requests must be made in writing via email or WhatsApp.
- Cancellation charges may apply depending on the notice period and supplier policies.
- Hotel cancellation fees, train ticket charges, and prepaid activity charges may be non-refundable.
- No refunds will be provided for unused services, no-shows, or early departures after the tour has commenced.
We strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellations, medical emergencies, baggage loss, and unexpected travel disruptions.
Travel Documents & Visa Requirements
- Travelers are responsible for ensuring they possess valid passports, visas, and required travel documents.
- Sri Lanka generally requires an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) prior to arrival.
- Passport validity should generally extend at least six months beyond the travel period.
- We are not responsible for denied boarding, visa refusals, or travel disruptions caused by incomplete documentation.
Transportation & Train Travel
- Travel times mentioned in itineraries are approximate and may vary depending on traffic, weather, railway schedules, or road conditions.
- Scenic train tickets in Sri Lanka are subject to limited availability and are controlled by Sri Lanka Railways.
- While we make every effort to secure requested train seats or classes, availability cannot always be guaranteed.
Hotels & Accommodation
- Hotels shown in quotations are subject to availability at the time of booking.
- If a selected hotel becomes unavailable, a similar standard alternative hotel will be arranged whenever possible.
- Official Sri Lanka hotel star classifications may differ from online review platform ratings.
Wildlife, Adventure & Excursions
- Wildlife safaris, whale watching, hiking, and outdoor activities depend on weather and natural conditions.
- Animal sightings cannot be guaranteed.
- Participation in adventure or outdoor activities is at the traveler’s own risk.
- Clients are expected to follow safety instructions provided by guides, drivers, and activity operators.
Limitation of Liability
ToursofSriLanka.com and Visit SL Travels (Pvt) Ltd act as organizers and coordinators of travel services provided by hotels, transport providers, activity operators, and other third-party suppliers.
We are not liable for:
- Delays caused by weather, road conditions, strikes, or natural events
- Airline schedule changes or cancellations
- Loss of personal belongings
- Injuries, illnesses, accidents, or unforeseen disruptions beyond our control
- Force majeure events including natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, or transportation interruptions
