Visit SL Travels website is under the ownership and operation of Visit SL Travels (Private) Limited. Our office is situated at No 29, Carmel Group, Dambulla Road, Kurunegala, Sri Lanka.
Visit SL Travels collaborates with a multitude of suppliers in Sri Lanka to offer an array of services through this website.
When you make reservations through our website, it’s essential to note that, in addition to the terms and conditions outlined herein, the specific terms and conditions of these suppliers will also be applicable.
Customers bear the responsibility of reviewing the terms and conditions of these suppliers, including their booking policies, which can be provided upon request. You consent to comply with the terms and conditions of purchase set forth by any supplier you choose to engage with. It’s imperative to understand that any breach of a supplier’s conditions of purchase may lead to the cancellation of your reservations, denial of access to hotels, forfeiture of funds paid for such reservations, and Visit SL Travels may charge your account for costs incurred due to such violation. You are entirely accountable for all charges, fees, duties, taxes, and assessments arising from your use of this website, including, but not limited to, charges incurred from transactions conducted on your behalf, whether or not such transactions were authorized by you.
It’s crucial to recognize that nothing presented on this website constitutes an offer on our part or on the part of the suppliers. The information provided serves as an invitation for you to make an offer, on the specified terms, to purchase the featured arrangements. Our suppliers retain the right to accept or decline any such offers. All arrangements featured or referenced are contingent upon availability at all times until confirmed explicitly, and no guarantees, commitments, or assurances are provided regarding availability.
Regarding hotel reservations and ground arrangements made directly through this website, your reservation will be considered confirmed once you have paid an advance payment of 25% by Bank transfer or by PayPal. The remaining payment should be settled on the first day of the tour in cash. Anyway if you prefer to settle the full payment before arrival, you may use bank transfer option.
Cancellations –
To initiate the cancellation of your Travel Arrangements, written notice must be provided to us, and such notice will take effect on the day it is received by us. The following penalties will be applicable, contingent upon the number of days remaining before the commencement of your Travel Arrangements:
- Between 30 and 40 days – 50% of total ground arrangement cost
- Between 20 and 29 days – 75% of total ground arrangement cost
- 19 or Less than 19 days – No refund of total ground arrangement cost
Passport, Visa & Health –
You are accountable for ensuring that both yourself and fellow members of your group acquire the necessary vaccinations and seek appropriate medical guidance prior to embarking on your journey. Likewise, it is your duty to verify that all members of your party possess accurate and valid passports, visas, and have complied with all other prerequisites pertinent to your travel plans before the commencement of the holiday.
Should you require guidance on this matter, we are more than willing to provide recommendations. However, please be aware that we cannot be held liable if you travel without the proper travel documents.
Travel Insurance –
We strongly advise you to secure personal travel insurance for all members of your group at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to confirm that the insurance you obtain offers sufficient coverage.
Responsibility –
Visit SL Travels, along with its affiliates, exclusively acts as an intermediary representing hotels, airlines, bus companies, railroads, ship lines, and various contractors who provide accommodations, transportation, or other services to our clients. It’s important to note that Visit SL Travels procures these services from independent suppliers who are not directly affiliated with us.
While Visit SL Travels diligently selects reputable suppliers for these services, we do not have operational control over these agents. Consequently, Visit SL Travels, its subsidiary entities, affiliated companies, employees, or agents cannot be held liable, whether in contract or tort, for any incidents or issues that may arise, including but not limited to:
- Any personal injury, property damage, loss, or delay caused by the wrongful, negligent, or arbitrary actions or omissions of independent suppliers, their employees, or other parties not under our direct supervision.
- Any defects or failures in vessels, aircraft, vehicles, or other equipment controlled by independent suppliers.
- Loss, injury, or damage resulting directly or indirectly from Acts of God, sea-related incidents, fires, machinery breakdowns, wars (whether declared or not), hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, medical epidemics, quarantines, customs regulations, defaults, delays, cancellations, or changes in itinerary due to scheduling adjustments, or any other causes beyond our control.
Furthermore, Visit SL Travels disclaims liability for any losses or damages arising from insufficient or incorrectly issued passports, visas, or other legal documents. All documents issued by Visit SL Travels, including coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts, and tickets, are subject to the terms, conditions, and tariffs imposed by the hotels, airlines, bus companies, railroads, ship lines, or contractors and their personnel.
Visit SL Travels is not liable for dissatisfaction with the quality of service or accommodations provided by any Service Provider, nor are we responsible for any disappointment, distress, or lack of enjoyment stemming from any act or omission whatsoever.
It’s important to emphasize that Visit SL Travels should not be interpreted as a carrier operating under a contract for the safe carriage of you or your baggage and belongings.
Force Majeure –
Considering the nature of certain featured tours, it’s essential to acknowledge that adjustments to the content or schedules of itineraries may occur without prior notice. Various unforeseen risks and challenges, including but not limited to war, terrorism, civil unrest, theft, delays, extreme weather conditions, Acts of God, government actions, machinery breakdowns, equipment failures, vehicle accidents, labor disputes, or local operational restrictions, may arise, and these are beyond our control.
Visit SL Travels retains the right to cancel the entirety or any portion of a tour at any time due to force majeure or circumstances outside of our control, which may include the non-performance of third parties.
Visit SL Travels shall not be held liable for damages of any nature arising from the failure or delay in fulfilling any or all of our obligations outlined herein, or in relation to any product or service, when such failure or delay results from circumstances or causes beyond our reasonable control. Visit SL Travels does not assume responsibility for providing medical care or ensuring the adequacy of any care provided. It is expected that you will secure adequate travel insurance to cover any potential travel-related or medical incidents.
